Restaurant owner Svetlana of Sveta’s House, has been a well known, respected, and loved pillar of her community. Immigrating from Ukraine in the 90’s and working her way up the American dream ladder. 15 years ago, Svetlana owned one of the most freshest and well known fish stores in the Rego Park/Forest Hills area. Everyone loved buying their fish specifically from her store because of the great service, fresh produce, and positive atmosphere they encountered. Having gained popularity within the community, Svetlana wanted to bring more happiness to it, showcasing her delicious authentic cuisine that no one at the time was able to try, aside from her close family and friends, who constantly urged her to open her own restaurant.
Eventually, Svetlana pursued her dream of bringing delicious cuisine to the public to recreate that home cooked, fun, lively, and warm environment on a larger scale for a greater group of people. Her mission was to create a unique atmosphere that felt like you were enjoying a delicious meal at home with your family and close friends, without having to do any work. Blending a home cooked and party atmosphere, Sveta’s House was born! The food is European themed, all natural with a homemade feel, never relies on artificial additives or preservatives, is always prepared fresh on the spot, and emphasizes high quality ingredients made with love. Svetlana grew up with a love and passion for cooking and pouring her heart and soul into the food is what makes it unlike many other restaurants. Sveta’s House features live music 5 days a week and on the weekends our party’s don’t end until the last person walks out the door!! Our main concern is for all our customers to walk out with a smile, to come back craving our food, and to spread the word about us and for those reason we always ensure that our level of service is superior.
